Althea Moonflower
The Brief
In our Studio VII course in the winter 2026 term, we were tasked with working with a live client. Working in a group of 3 (with Yomna Ismail and Mercedes Turner), the objective was to create an awareness campaign for the Victim Services of Waterloo Region. The campaign was named "Nothing to See Here", highlighting the impact of online sexual violence, non-consensual distribution of intimate images, and online extortion.
My Role
Working as a team, we conceptualized the ideas and I was in charge of designing the bus mural. We had created a design guide to ensure that all of our final deliverables were cohesive and expressed the story behind the campaign.
The Work
This awareness campaign was designed to increase awareness in the rise of online sexual violence, educate the community about the topic, reduce stigma and encourage help-seeking for affected individuals.
The Result
Our design was selected to run in the region.
The bus mural was designed with  a broad audience in mind as it was exposed to anyone who was travelling through the KW region. It was necessary to keep the message clear, concise, and appropriate as it could be seen by a younger audience or potentially affected individuals. The campaign was designed to demonstrate what online sexual violence can look like and emphasize empowerment by seeking help.
I designed the bus murals, pictured below.
Both posters below were both designed by my team mate, Yomna Ismail.
The Instagram posts were designed by my team mate, Mercedes Turner.
